Eggless Chocolate M&M cookies
EGGLESS CHOCOLATE
M&M COOKIES
Aren't these cookies so beautiful?
My kids absolutely love chocolate cookies but by adding M&Ms it tastes a whole lot better and it looks prettier too. These slightly crispy, buttery and chocolatey cookies are a big hit among adults and kids alike.
This recipe uses just a few basic ingredients - flour, butter, sugar, cocoa powder and vanilla essence. It is also really easy to make, no refrigeration is needed, no mixer is needed. Just whip up the ingredients, then bake and enjoy!
Tips for making M&M cookies
: Make sure your butter is softened to room
temperature but not melted. If butter
is too soft, the cookies will spread too much
while baking.
: Use the best quality butter and cocoa
powder it makes a huge difference.
: The use of light brown sugar gives these
cookies a deeper and richer flavor.
: If the cookie dough is very tight, you can
add few spoons of milk.
Let's get baking!
INGREDIENTS
- 200g salted butter ( room temperature)
- 100g light brown sugar
- 275g all purpose flour
- 1tsp vannila essence
- 30g unsweetened cocoa powder
- M&M chocolates ( brown packaging)
METHOD
- Pre heat oven to 170c
- Whisk together flour and cocoa powder.
Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl combine butter, brown
sugar, vannila essence. Using a wooden
spoon stir to combine until smooth and
a bit fluffy.
- Mix in dry ingredients, until well
combined.
- Scoop ball of dough, 1 tbsp portion.
Flatten slightly, place 5 to 6 M&M onto
the cookies surface.
- Place them about 2inch apart on a
baking pan as these tend not to spread too
much.
- Bake for about 13 to 15 minutes. The edges
should look set but not brown and the
center may seem a bit underdone, but it
will set up nicely when cooked.
- Once removed from the oven, allow the
cookies to set on the pan for 5 minutes
before moving them to a cooling rack.
