Banana Walnut Bread

          BANANA WALNUT BREAD

Banana bread is as delicious as it smells and this easy banana bread recipe will have your taste buds salivating while it's still baking in the oven. Just a few simple steps and you can snack on your very own slice of warm and fresh baked banana bread.

WHAT IS BANANA BREAD

Simple comforting treat that's perfect for
breakfast or as a snack . A quick bread which has cakey texture rises with the helped of baking soda.

Cut into slices and served with butter or cream cheese unlike cakes that are cut
into wedges and usually richly frosted.

TIPS FOR BAKING BANANA BREAD

: You can use any type of bananas found in the grocery store. Use very ripe bananas with nearly black skin. This will make your banana bread even more richer flavor. Mash the bananas with a fork until they are chunky apple sauce consistency. Some texture is good for banana bread

: Yogurt adds more moisture to the banana bread. Sour cream is a wonderful substitute for plain yogurt.

: Use brown sugar for it's molasses flavor and also for softer and moister bread.

: I added walnuts to this recipe. I absolutely adore the slight crunch inside of the soft banana bread. You can even add chocolate chips, raisins or leave it plain.
They are totally optional. This would still make a perfectly snackble loaf.

Let's get baking!

INGREDIENTS

- 250g all - purpose flour

- 3/4 tsp baking soda

- 130g light or dark brown sugar ( you may increase the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of the banana)

   large bananas)

- 80g plain yogurt or sour cream

- 75g  walnut ( toasted and chopped)

- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

- 1 tsp vanilla essence

METHOD

- Preheat oven to 170c. Butter your loaf pan.
Line the bottom of the pan with parchment
paper. (This is to ensure that the bottom of
the banana bread will not get stuck.)

   soda. Set aside

- Cream butter and sugar until light and
  fluffy.

  banana)

- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and
  shake gently to even out.

- Bake in a preheated oven for 40 to 45
minutes or until toothpick inserted comes
out with a couple of moist crumbs.
(Depending on your oven the banana
bread might take more or less time
to bake so it's always good to check
  to avoid dry bread.

- Cool for 10 minutes in a pan. Turn out
bread on a wire rack and let it cool before
  slicing. Enjoy!
