Mini Cream Cheese Tart



Mini Cream Cheese Tart with Chocolate filling








These adorable mini tarts have serious wow factor!

Recently this recipe was requested by my followers. I had made these tarts numerous times before and it is a family favorite. 

Its super easy to make. Buttery and tender shells, filled with rich chocolate filling and a creamy cream cheese mixture and it taste better the next day.

It's a must try!

So let's bake!


For crust

: 125g butter 
: 50g Icing sugar
: 1tsp vanilla essence
: 1/2 egg yolk
: 250 all purpose flour
: 5g full cream milk powder
: 1/2 tbsp cold water

Cream Cheese topping

: 250g cream cheese ( room temperature)
: 30g butter ( room temperature)
: 50g icing sugar
: 1 egg
: Lemon juice ( half of a lemon)
: 50g whipping cream
: 20g all purpose flour

Chocolate filling and drizzle

: 1 cup chopped chocolate
: 4 tbsp whipping cream


Method

1. Preheat oven at  170C

2. Whisk butter and sugar until turns to creamy.




3. Now add eggs and vanilla essence. Stir
    to combine.






4. Slowly add flour and milk powder.




5. Add cold water and mix well.





6. Place some  dough into each greased tart pan.

7. Trim the extra dough off then prick some holes with a folk onto the pastry shell. (to avoid big air bubbles)




8. Bake for 7 to 8 min or until golden brown.

9. Once baked , remove the tarts from the tart pan. Let them cool




10. Meanwhile,  beat cream cheese, butter and icing sugar until smooth and creamy.

11. Squeeze in lemon juice.




12. Add eggs and cream, mix  until well blended.




13. Lastly add flour and mix until well combined. Set aside

14. Heat the  chocolate and cream in a microwave for 30 sec. Stir until melted.

15. Spoon about 1/4 tsp melted chocolate  into the tart shells




16. Using a piping bag . Pipe the cream cheese batter on top of the  chocolate layer.




17. Bake in preheated oven at 170C for 8 to 9 minutes or until the tartlet's surface is clean 
to the touch.




18. Once cool, drizzle with melted chocolate

Note:

Over baking the cream cheese might lead to the cream cheese cracking.
